Terms of Use

Last updated: 2026-07-15 · Effective immediately.

These terms govern your use of the Marker app ("Marker", "the app"). By downloading or using Marker you agree to them. Marker is provided by Jan Zellerhoff (see Impressum).

License

Marker is licensed, not sold, to you for personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive use on Apple devices you own or control, subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and the standard Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA), which applies in addition to these terms: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.

Informational use only — not medical advice

Marker is for informational use only and is not a medical device. It shows your lab values next to the reference ranges printed on your own report and describes what each value measures. It does not provide a diagnosis, medical advice, or treatment recommendations, and it does not define its own reference ranges. Always talk to a qualified healthcare professional about your results.

Your content and your device

Your reports and values are read and stored only on your device. You are responsible for the reports and values you enter and for keeping your own backups (for example, via your device backup). See the Privacy Policy.

Purchases

Refunds

Purchases are handled by Apple. Refund requests are subject to Apple's policies and can be made at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, resell or misuse the app, or use it in violation of applicable law.

Disclaimer of warranties & limitation of liability

Marker is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Marker reads reports and can make mistakes; it does not provide medical, tax, legal or financial advice. Always review the extracted values before you rely on them — you are solely responsible for how you interpret and use your results. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability or consumer rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Changes

We may update these terms; the current version is always available at this address with the date shown above.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence.
