Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-07-07 · Effective immediately.

Vow runs on your iPhone. Your phases, your app selections, and your schedules are stored locally on your device using Apple's Screen Time framework. We don't operate any servers, we have no account system, and we never see your data.

Data we collect

None. Vow has no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising identifiers, and no usage telemetry. There is no Vow user database, because we don't operate any servers.

What lives on your device

All of the above can be wiped at any time by deleting the app.

NFC tags (optional)

If you set up an NFC sticker to start or end a phase, Vow reads and writes only a phase identifier to that tag. This never leaves your device and is never sent to us or anyone else.

Apple Health (optional)

If you choose a phase that only ends after activity (steps, exercise minutes, or a workout), Vow reads the relevant values from Apple Health on your device only. This data never leaves your iPhone and is never sent to us. You can revoke access at any time in iOS Settings → Health.

Notifications

The optional "pause ending" reminder is a local notification scheduled on your device. There is no push server involved.

Purchases

Vow's optional one-time "Lifetime" unlock is processed by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat to validate your purchase — RevenueCat receives a pseudonymous app user identifier and your purchase/receipt data, but never your name, email, or payment details. We never see your payment information.

Children's privacy

Vow does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13. Since Vow collects no data at all, this is automatic.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, the change date above will be revised. We will not retroactively change the policy to collect data that wasn't collected before.
